一、建筑模型畫線：在制造建筑單體時，首要要將制造的建筑單體平面進行分解。分解后將各個二維平面用拓印法或丈量劃線法描繪在選定的ABS板材上。在畫線時，除了要考慮畫線的準確度，還要考慮到因為對接形式而引起的板材尺度的變化。

二、建筑模型切開：切開時，一般是先劃后切，先內后外。先劃后切，即先作廠房立面墻線的劃痕。劃痕是用勾刀來進行勾勒，運用勾刀用力要均勻，劃痕深淺要一致。制造時要充沛考慮到噴色后的作用。在立面墻線制造結束后，再進行開窗加工。在上述一系列制造完成后便能夠進行立面外形的切開。

三、建筑模型組裝：組裝是將制造完的平面組合成三維的建筑單體。在這一階段，要特別注意面與面、邊與邊的平行、垂直聯系。在進行組合時，要充沛利用直角尺(彎尺)進行丈量，保證制造精度。一起，在轉角處或平面尺度較大的構件內部加支撐物，以避免構件的體現。在進行建筑單體組合時，應結合后期噴色工序全體考慮。

四、建筑模型打磨：在組合成型后，對接縫處進行打磨。第一遍先用板銼打磨。運用銼刀時要注意視點，避免接縫開膠。第二遍可用什錦銼或砂紙打磨。

五、建筑模型全體修整：在全部建筑單體組裝結束后，逐一進行全體修整。首要，修整轉角處接縫。即用細銼刀打磨轉角及各接口處，修至接縫平滑、無凹凸感。其次，用細砂紙修整打磨平面，使其符合噴色要求。

六、建筑模型噴色：建筑單體模型噴色可采用素色噴色法進行色彩處理。重疊噴色法即用同色相不同透明度的自噴漆進行交叉噴色，使建筑單體呈現出色彩深淺不一的點狀作用。這種方法較難掌握，但是視覺作用很好。
